Megan Casey

Megan Casey grew up in Monroe, NY and began her dance training at the age of three. She
received her early dance education from Joan Butler Institute of Dance, Terpsichore the
Dancer school, and New York Dance Center. Megan recently received her BA in Dance with
minors in Community Arts and Education from Springfield College. At Springfield College, she
performed with the Dance Repertory Touring Company, under the direction of artistic director
Sarah Zehnder. As a part of the company, Megan has had several performance opportunities,
such as the American College Dance Association’s Super Northeast Conference, as well as the
Springfield Thunderbirds Hockey halftime show. She has had the opportunity to teach dance in
various studios and public schools in Springfield, MA. Additionally, she has had the privilege of
performing in works by GALLIM/Andrea Miller, Monica Bill Barnes, Didy Veldman, Tatiana
Desardouin (Passion Fruit Dance Company), and Kodee Van Nort through Springfield College’s
dance program. She was heavily involved on campus, serving as President for the Springfield
College Dance Club, an Orientation Leader for new students, a Student Advocate for Wellness,
and a Pride Cares peer-to-peer mental health support. Currently, Megan is a dance counselor and
a part of the inaugural summer staff at Danbee Arts and Dance Camp. She continuously looks for
ways to help others in her community, and pursue her passion for the arts in her future career.
Megan is ecstatic to be joining the ADC family, and to be working with so many amazing
dancers.
